Marques Avenue

The fashion capital of the world, Paris, is not the only place in France to shop for gorgeous apparel and fashion accessories on the cheap. Marques Avenue based in Troyes with seven outlets all over France including one in the Talange region of Metz Lorraine is the number one destination for brands for less. Marques Avenue is France’s new factory shopping region that houses 400 brands ranging from the most popular to the lesser known designers all under one roof.

Factory shops are adopted by fashion brands to sell surplus stock and stock from seasons past at reduced prices and attractive offers. Marques Avenue is one such place where you can find your favourite brands and more at discounts as high as 70%. The store is a phenomenon in itself and not only does it support a large number of brands but also has seven outlets across the country that are dedicated to make your shopping experience unique and worth the many miles you may have to travel to get there.

The mega-store was conceptualised and opened in 1993 with its flagship store in Troyes, the Mecca of the textile and knitting industry, now the centre of most factory shops in Europe. Putting brand above budget the store serves its customers harmoniously through all of its seven centres. The design and architecture elements of the main store along with all of the branches across France have been imagined, illustrated and finally put to life by designer Oliver Saguez and architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte.  There is one just outside of Paris that also lives up to the unique hospitality offered by the main branch.

Savvy shoppers understand the value of shopping at factory stores and often end up more than satisfied with their purchases. Targeting these shoppers, Marques Avenue offers brands like Nike, La Perla, Delsy, Hugo Boss, Bensimon, Levis and Tommy Hilfiger to name just a few from the otherwise endless list. With something for everyone from children to adults to lifestyle and furnishing, the store as per the Modernisation Act of Economics follows the practice of ‘double labelling’ to give buyers a clear idea of the original price as well as the discounted prices.

Speaking of brands, Marques Avenue stocks an unlimited range of apparel and accessories for men from the world’s most renowned labels. Women are spoilt for choice within the range of clothes, accessories, cosmetics, house wares, limited edition scarves, jewellery, bags and lingerie from top brands. Add to these, brands such as Petit Bateau, Miniman and Lulu among others for children’s and infants clothing, accessories, bedding and toys to complete your shopping expedition in just one place.

Five hundred shops sell a multitude of items and although the exterior looks drab and unpromising like regular factory shops, the inside is someplace else. Not as classy as your typical mall but packed with a humungous amount of goodies to suit every taste with well appointed changing rooms and other mall like amenities, Marques Avenue is definitely the savvy shoppers paradise. Dedicate a full day to this store as the range of products requires careful consideration and also because it is situated just outside the city limits like shops of this sort usually do.
